If I believe in false consciousness or not is hard to answer as personally, I am not entirely in favour of the Marxist approach. Although I do believe that it is obvious that society has rich and poor, I believe that if you are a hard worker and put aside what class you are in, you can get there with your own determination. For example, Sir Alan Sugar was from a poor background but is now one of the capitalist therefore I cannot entirely pinpoint 'yes' or 'no'.
Like Daisy, I find this difficult to answer. I do believe that we are taught about society by our parents and the media and therefore they definitely have the potential to be part of the ideological state apparatus. However, this idea that the working classes are being 'tricked' doesn't seem completely true. For example, Marxists would say that democracy is a lie as the government will always serve the rich. However, a government has to serve all people to prevent up rise and to be voted for again. Therefore, whilst I think there is definitely inequality between classes, with the rich getting more, I don't believe that the rest of society is being 'exploited' in the way false conciseness would suggest.
Yes,there is false consciousness. But the root of it isn't Capitalism, but something else.We are surrounded in society ruled by Freemasonry,Bohemian club and NWO supporters.Their aim is something more than making money and keep rich. They are aiming to control the Humanity.A lot of those people from those organisations are Communist. They are the creators of false conciousness.
I have tried to write my response several times as I keep changing my opinion. I do believe that there is false consciousness in some ways yes, but in others no. As Mia said, we are taught about society by our parents and the media which influences us, so yes we could be part of the ideological system. However, if you think of the lower-class citizens, they aren't part of it, they aren't happy with being exploited and part of an indifferent system that only administrates for large corporations. Why hasn't there been a big uproar? Because they feel like whatever they do cannot help them in anyway? Or maybe that they just have chosen to rely on benefits and feel like there is no point because nothing will change? Or maybe they believe it is the norm and are part of the ideology.
